Surface 3 Pro läuft nicht mehr mit Akku nach Update auf Windows 10 1903

Ich habe gestern mein Surface 3 Pro auf Windows 10 1903 aktualisiert. Seither läuft das Gerät nicht mehr im Akkubetrieb.


Symptome:

1. Akkusymbol in der Taskleiste zeigt "55% verbleiben (Netzbetrieb)"
2. Das Gerät schaltet sofort aus, wenn das Ladekabel entfernt wird.
3. Das Gerät lässt sich nur mit angeschlossenem Ladekabel einschalten.

Weitere Angaben:

1. Bereits vor dem Update liess sich der Akku nur bis 55% laden, Akkubetrieb war aber möglich, die Laufzeit betrug gut zwei Stunden.
2. Das Firmwareupdate vom 29.8.2016, welches das Problem mit der unvollständigen Ladung adressiert, wurde vor einigen Wochen installiert und hat keine Verbesserung gebracht.
3. Das Embedded Controller Firmware Update 38.16.85.0 vom März 2019 ist ebenfalls installiert.
4. Der Kiosk Mode, welcher die Batterieladung auf 50% begrenzt, ist im BIOS deaktiviert.
5. Die Anweisungen unter https://support.microsoft.com/de-ch/help/4023536/surface-surface-battery-wont-charge konnten das Problem nicht beheben.
6. Ladegerät, Kabel und Stecker sind in einwandfreiem Zustand.

Einen Defekt der Akkuzellen schliesse ich eher aus, weil das Problem plötzlich auftrat und Akkubetrieb vor dem Windows Update möglich war. Ich vermute ein Problem in der Firmware, welches trotz der Korrekturen von 2016 und 2019 nach wie vor besteht.

Hat jemand das gleiche Problem festgestellt und es lösen können? Falls jemand von Microsoft mitliest, würde es mich freuen, wenn das Problem aufgegriffen wird und ein Report an die Firmware Entwickler erfolgt. Ich bin auch gerne bereit weitere Diagnoseinformationen zu liefern und Fixes zu testen.
