Activision has released a playable demo for Spider-Man: Friend or Foe, giving you the chance to try out this game inspired by the Spider-Man film trilogy and the classic Spider-Man comics, and due to ship this fall, for DS, PC, PS2, PSP, Wii and X360. Gamers can play as Spider-Man and villains-turned-allies Green Goblin or Venom in the Tokyo Rooftops level, as well as a boss battle with Doc Ock in the Tokyo Secret Labs level.

Capcom has released an updated demo for Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, giving you the chance to try out the PC version of this sci-fi action shooter, available now for PC and Xbox 360. The demo will let you play through two levels: the Akrid hive and the pirate fortress, the same levels from the demo for the Xbox 360 version. If you’re on Windows Vista, you will need the DirectX 10 version. For XP users, grab the DirectX 9 version. The updated demo includes a PC patch which is also available as a separate download.

Fast genau eine Woche vor dem offiziellen Release haben die Entwickler von Quazar Studio eine englische Demo ihres Weltraum-Actionspiels Tarr Chronicles veröffentlicht. Somit dürfen Sie ab sofort ohne größere Sprachbarrieren - die erste Demo war in russischer Sprache gehalten - ein paar Probegefechte in den Weiten des Alls austragen. Zuvor müssen Sie jedoch den annähernd 500 MByte großen Download bewältigen.

Der Release von Tarr Chronicles ist derzeit für den 28. September geplant.

Konami has released a playable demo of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, allowing you to try out the PC demo of the latest edition to the multi-million-selling Pro Evolution Soccer series which will hit the store shelves in October 2007, for PC, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP and DS. Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 features a proprietary adaptive AI system entitled Teamvision, a sophisticated AI programming that learns and adapts according to an individual's style of play. The ball is again treated as a separate entity, with the timing of shots entirely down to the player, while the new AI ensures that defenders work to close down space and block efforts on goal. Similarly, distribution of passes works along the same lines, with players using the space available to them to switch the ball. Close control has also been enhanced with more control when dribbling the ball, and a number of subtle moves added to bypass defenders and move the ball into space.

In der spielbaren Probierversion des paranormalen Shooters kämpfen Sie zur Zeit der Kreuzzüge um Ihr Leben, nachdem die bösen Mächte der Stadt Al-Khali Ihr Team stark dezimiert haben. Um gegen die Dämonen zu bestehen, übernehmen Sie als Geist des verstorbenen Teamleiters Devin Ross die Kontrolle über die Sergeants Frank Delgado und Billie Church sowie den Lieutenant Abigail Black. Auf diese Weise rücken Sie den Mächten der Finsternis bereits in der Demo mit schweren Waffen, Telekinese und einem japanischen Odachi-Schwert zu Leibe.

Wie bereits heute Mittag angekündigt (siehe News) steht ab sofort eine Demo des Strategiespiel-Addons Heroes of Might & Magic 5: Tribes of the East zum Download bereit.



Die 900 MByte große Demo zeigt eine Hauptepisode aus der Heroes-Geschichte, in der Sie Gotai, einen jungen orkstämmigen Kriegsherren, dabei begleiten, während er seine Armeen der Invasion des Greifenimperiums entgegenstellt. Sie können die neue Fraktion der Orks steuern, indem sie Städte errichten, Truppen rekrutieren und mit brandneuen Kreaturen in den Krieg ziehen. Durch die zwei völlig neuen Features „Blutrausch“ sowie „Kriegsrufe“ entdecken Spieler die nicht aufzuhaltende Ork-Kampfstärke auf dem Schlachtfeld.
