A new trial version of Mount & Blade is now available for download, giving you the chance to try out this medieval RPG created by ATaleWorlds Entertainment. What you download is not a demo, it is the full game. There is, however, a level limit at 6. When your character reaches level 6, you can start a new game or, if you decide you like the game well enough, go on and buy a license online. As soon as you buy a license you will obtain a serial key which will remove the level limit. You will not need to download the game again. Mount & Blade will be published by Paradox Interactive in Q2 2008.

Draughty tactical action from Munich-based Chimera Entertainment gets a demo

dtp entertainment AG has released a playable demo of Windchaser, allowing you to try out this real-time tactical game which is now available in Germany under the ANACONDA label. In Windchaser, players assume leadership of one of the guilds of the fantasy world of Ensai and take command of one of the mighty sailing ships that serve as mobile headquarters. On board, the player recruits new fighters, who level up as they gain battle experience, and stores collected artefacts. A multitude of upgrades allow players to customize and reinforce their ship throughout the whole game.

The Games Company has released a playable demo for the German version of Goin' Downtown, a point & click adventure in which you are the charismatic hero Jake who earns his living as a mediocre and frustrated cop in the year 2072. One morning, when walking through his neighbourhood, he stumbles across an unconscious woman. An exceedingly attractive woman who unfortunately has lost her memory as Jake notices when he clumsily wakes her up. This is the beginning of an adventure with Cathy in which Jake discovers that he can be a real hero and that true love can save lives.
